Introduces the essential skills and concepts for entry-level UX design and how UX designers improve user interactions with products such as websites and mobile apps.

2. Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate ~20 hrs

Empathize with users to understand pain points, define user needs with problem statements, and generate ideas for solutions.

3. Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes ~10 hrs

Create storyboards, paper and digital wireframes, and low-fidelity prototypes using the design tool Figma.

4. Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts ~13 hrs

Plan and conduct usability studies to gather feedback, then refine low-fidelity designs based on research insights.

5. Create High-Fidelity Designs and Prototypes in Figma ~18 hrs

Build high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes in Figma, collect feedback, and refine designs accordingly.

6. Build Dynamic User Interfaces (UI) for Websites ~14 hrs

Plan a website design, create wireframes and prototypes, build responsive UI, and participate in design critique sessions.

7. Design a User Experience for Social Good & Prepare for Jobs ~15 hrs

Design a mobile app and a responsive website focused on social good, producing a cross-platform capstone for your UX portfolio.

8. Lab, Project, and Test Preparation ~59 hrs

Hands-on labs, project work, and test preparation supporting all program competencies and career readiness.
